INTRODUCTION
GROCERY STORE:
A grocery store is a store established primarily
for the retailing of food. A grocer, the owner of a grocery store, stalks
different kinds of foods from assorted places and cultures, and sells them to
customers. Large grocery stores that stalk products other than food, such as
clothing or household items, are called supermarkets. Small grocery store that
mainly sells fruits and vegetables are known as produce markets (U.S) or
greengrocers (Britain), and small grocery stores that predominantly sell snack
foods and sandwiches are known as convenience stores or delicatessens.
HISTORY:
Since grocery shopping is such a fundamental
component in our lives, it’s important to look back and reflect upon the
development of the modern grocery store and supermarket. At the beginning of 20th
century, grocery stores in Pakistan were full –surface. A customer would aska
clerk behind the counter for specific items and the clerk would package the
items, which were limited to dry goods. These groceries usually carried only
one brand of each good. There were early chain stores, such as the A&P
stores but these were all entirely full-service.

EXISTING SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION:-
ADVANTAGES OF COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM
The main benefits
of our computerized system are:
.The database will
be very fast to use in terms of speed.
.The overall
system will be compact.
.Inconsistencies
will be eliminated.
Our proposed
system comprises of a computerized database management system, which fulfills
all the requirements in the system.
2.1:DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED SYSTEM
The computerized
approach should eliminate the solution to the various problems faced in
previous system. Following objectives:
·
.Accuracy
·
.Consistency
·
.Less
time consuming
·
.Compactness
·
.Good
response
Ø The recommendations are as under:
CHAPTER: 3
PROPOSED SYSTEM
In order to make
record keeping System more organized effective and productive, the compiling of
the grocery record history and result have to be automated by making a database
for it. For recovering drawbacks of the existing system they have to be
converted into a computerized platform.
· .Hardware/software induction should be taken as a project and
should be done after proper education of requirements.
· .The software developments process should be taken as
project.
.Main authorized persons can only use
the updating option.
.The database system will be error free
and will perform all the operations accurately and perfectly.

4.1
TABLES:
The table is the container for raw information
called data. When we enter data in access, a table stores it in logical
groupings of similar data.

4.2
QUERIES
A
Query is used to gather selected information from a database. It is used to
gather information from different tables with related data.
CUSTOMER:-
ORDER:-
4.3
FORMS
A form
is a window that displays the collection of controls, such as, labels, text
boxes, check boxes and list for viewing, entering and editing information.
4.4
REPORTS
A report is used for printing information from a
database. A large variety of reports can be created in access.

CHAPTER#5
.DATABASE:
Database
is collection of information about a particular topic stored in an efficient
and compact manner.
.DBMS:
A database management system is set of
computer programs that is written to create, maintain and access a database in
a convince and efficient manner.
.DATABASE PROGRAM:
A
database program is software that stores data in a database in a computer. It
provides facilities for retrieving, adding, updating and deleting data in the
database.
.IDE:
An
integrated development environment consists of a graphical interface between
theuser and the database. It provides facilities for preparing a complete a
database application.
.OBJECTS OF DATABASE:
There are four objects of database they are
as follow:
.TABLE
.QUERY
.FORM
.REPORT
